Lovely food and excellent service. Very cosy. The apple crumble portion was truly epic.
This is a good place but recently changed the choice of options on their menu for the worst. Lovely scones made with different things inside like rhubarb and other seasonal fruits. Used to allow a sandwich cup of tea and scones and piece of cake.
Busy, limited number of tables, so you may have to come back. Food is of a good standard, not particularly cheap. They don't take cards so have some cash handy..
Great service, really attentive and welcoming. It's in a nice lovely setting in the village too. Nice and cosy inside, but also seating available outside too. Good range of delicious food made with care. Cake choices are a mix of the standards such as Victoria Sponge and Brownies along with some more unusual but no less tasty. Been a couple of times and would highly recommend it, especially on a Sunday afternoon.
If you want to go for afternoon tea, have delicious cakes and home made scones with clotted cream and jam this is the place to go. It offers excellent value for money and not for just afternoon tea, there are a range of home made, huge sandwiches with locally sourced fillings that are to die for as well. As well as the food being really nice it is also excellent value for money, being much cheaper than most tea shops we have visited. This place is high recommended if you happen to be in or around Steyning.
